He can give her anything and everything she needs—except a future.
Legacy, Book 4
Kidnapped and held in a crazy doctor’s underground laboratory, Bethany Morris only manages to escape because Chrissten, one of her fellow abductees, creates an opportunity—by shifting into a werewolf.
Bethany’s desperate for help, but who’ll believe her story? The police? That’ll just buy her a one-way ticket to a padded room—because here’s the kicker she’s discovered she’s a half-breed werewolf. Her only hope is to find Chrissten’s brother.
Quinn Lawton’s long, grinding search for his missing twin has turned up nothing…until Bethany rekindles his hope. Something else catches flame too—her heat cycle and a searing attraction branded with the word mate. Yet with so much blood on his hands, any future he might offer is already tainted beyond redemption.
Desperate for Quinn’s touch alone, Bethany has no choice but to take Quinn up on his offer to quell her terrifying need, no strings attached. And hope that as the search for Chrissten intensifies, the battle with their personal demons doesn’t destroy their razor-thin chance at forever.
Warning This book contains heartbreak and love found, a crazy scientist and his werewolf flunky and a tortured werewolf hero. Plus lots and lots of steamy hot sex!
Quinn Quest Legacy Series Book 4 edition by NJ Walters Paranormal Romance eBooks
I really enjoyed reading Quinn's story. It is a worthy successor to the other three books in the Legacy shifter series. N.J. Walters has a real gift for imagery and can also maintain her different characters' personalities throughout her entire story and carry them from one book to the next and throughout the series as well. That makes it easy for me to feel like the characters are real people and to care about what happens to themI'll assume that if you're checking out book #4 of the series, you already know that Ms Walters writes extremely explicit sex scenes and uses very graphic language, including the "f" word, in her romance novels. If you didn't know that, and that sort of writing would bother you, then you definitely shouldn't buy this book! However, if you find such scenes erotic, and love shifter stories, then I definitely recommend that you buy the Legacy series ASAP! While it's true that the books can be read and enjoyed in any order, you'll probably enjoy them more if you start with book #1, "Alexandra's Legacy," and then you can just settle down comfortably and enjoy them them with no interruptions so that is absolutely what I recommend that you do! Happy Reading! ❤️

Quinn Quest Legacy Series Book 4 edition by NJ Walters Paranormal Romance eBooks Reviews
This is the book that let me know I would not continue with this series. I was interested in Quinn's story through the other books. But as interesting as the groundwork for his story was. The author just didn't deliver. It seemed more a place holder to launch the story about Quinn's sister. He turned out to be a dud and so is this book.
N.J. Walters is a great writer and I truley enjoy the Legacy Series. I can't wait for the book, Finding Chrissten.
To be fair, it well may be that I'd have liked Quinn's Quest better if I'd have read any of the other preceding books in the series - because the supporting characters seem interesting and apparently leading man Quinn himself was an appealing side character in previous books and of course if I had read the earlier books, I'd have been happy to see the generous sprinkling of cameos of past pairs.
But I then again I am thinking maybe not, since the story really gets shuttled to the side for all of the sex breaks, and it really seemed to me that considering the situations of the leads Quinn and Bethany, even with Bethany's mating heat coming on, that sex wouldn't have occupied so much of the time that should have been spent on the 'quest' for Quinn's sister Christten.
*****Spoiler****
I found it hard to believe that with Quinn coming close to finally saving his sister, that he could be so easily distracted by sex especially with the anguish of being constantly hours late from rescuing the sister he's dedicated his life to finding. And it seems liked he should have been a more than a little bit irked by Bethany's failure to get immediate help for Chrissten, the former fellow prisoner who made Bethany's escape possible. Additionally, with Bethany's recent escape from imprisonment (that included an impending rape in her future), the jumping into an intimate relationship with Quinn, who is an intense stranger who radiates barely leashed violence - mating heat or not - just didn't work for me. It also didn't help that I really didn't like the experimentation/rape subplot for the next up leading lady (I don't now how Walter's is going to pull off a romance in the next book since Chrissten's ordeal was so horrific.)
******End Spoiler****
But the real nail in the coffin for me - and I am a total nut about shape shifter romances - was that I really didn't care for Walters' werewolf mythos female weres-to-be go into heat and don't actually get to 'take their wolf' unless they are mated by being claimed doggie-style - they can do it it all they want from the front without forming the bond, WTH...? If the female decides to ride out the sexual agony of the mating heat and not accept a claim, she has to wait a year until her next heat but males don't need to be mated to be able to turn wolf - how does that make sense? Oh and werewolves don't just have one destined mate, so all the wolf guys can compete for the female's attentions - which would be okay if more effort were dedicated to developing a love, instead of lust, connection between the leads.
I did finish Quinn's Quest - it allowed me to check off my "Q" for my 2012 A to Z title challenge - but the most telling thing about my reaction to the story is that even being a shifter nut and the kind of person who 'has' to read every book in a series, I am not dying to go back and read the earlier books in the series (though from other reviewers comments, it sounds like the other books were much better) or to find out what happens between Hank and Chrissten (I might have been tempted though if the mysterious vampire guy was in line to be Chrissten's mate).
This is one of my favorites in this series. Give it a try for me to give a 5 star rating i really have to enjoy the story.
I love this series about werewolves and this one was my favorite book yet. It is about Quinn and his search for his twin sister Chris. She has been kidnapped and he has to find her before it is to late. He is in Chicago with the Haven pack and with their help he is determined that his family will be reunited again.
The story gets into crazy doctors and pure blood werewolves, normal humans, vampires, half-breed werewolves and half breeds falling in love. It has a little bit of everything and kept me interested the whole time. I did not think I would like Quinn's story but it was by far the best one yet. Highly recommend.
I have enjoyed this series and this book is no exception. Quinn is hot and sexy. I like the way he helps Bethany to find her wolf and takes her under his care. All of the Haven pack are interesting and I am looking forward to each of their stories. I would really like to see a story about Demek, the vampire. He is super hot also and lonely.I am glad that the next story is about Chrissten, Quinn and Eric's (the only human in the bunch) kidnapped sister that they have been looking for for 18 months.I recommend this book and series to anyone who likes shifter stories. Enjoy!
What happened to the striker brothers? This book was kind of like a spin off. Isiahh's Chicago pack is what this books focus is about with its newest members from the last book Quinn, and while the story was well done I missed the intensity and danger from the other 3 books main male leads. Some good fight scenes and the way its told you can see other characters developing their own stories.I would love to know more about Damek. Maybe this book needed another persons story fitted in with his and Bethany's(his mate) .Quinns looking forhis kidnapped twin but finds his mate. I feel like their wasn't enough of something in this book.i mean besides the usual misunderstanding of people's thoughts and feelings ,still all in all if you love the series you cant miss this one cause it ends with a cliff hanger. Cant wait to see what happens next.
